Description: |
We present four fascinating pieces after
the work of Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980), an artist whose
paintings of fascinating women reflected the emerging new society of
the time. Her singular portraits and nudes could be defined as
somewhere between Neoclassicism and Cubism, with stylised forms
which worship everything feminine, framed by solid structures, and
tracings half-way between the abstract and the tangible. This is
very exclusive work, overflowing with unhindered eroticism, captured
with impeccable technique. The artist has enhanced the volumes by
playing with light and shade in such a way that the sensual curves
form a contrast to the urban backgrounds. |
